In the heart of Paris, close to the Parc Monceau, rises an amazing Chinese pagoda.

Its founder, Ching-Tsai Loo, was a renowned antique dealer, a pioneer in America and initiator many Asian arts collections in the West.

The Pagoda was his showcase and wonderworld.

Situé dans la baie de Saint-Malo à deux milles marins au nord de la ville baignée par La Manche, le fort de La Conchée, fut édifié par Vauban à partir de 1692 pour s’opposer aux attaques des navires anglais.

En travaux depuis 1989, c'est une association privée qui persiste avec succès dans la sa restauration. Cela est rendue particulièrement difficile à cause de l'emplacement géographique du fort en pleine mer, avec courants, courants et coefficient de marée énormes et tempêtes destructrice en automne et hiver.

Le Fort de La Conchée fait parti de la ceinture fortifiée qui protégeait le port et la ville de Saint-Malo.

De ces forts maritimes, La Conchée est surement le plus beau et le plus inaccessible.
