Born in 1966, he completed a Political Sciences degree, then oriented his approach of classic photography towards ethnology and social sciences.
Since 2002, he has been in cooperation with European maritime museums for which he participated in several projects for the safeguard and enhancement of the maritime cultural heritage. His photographic reportages have been commissioned and exhibited at the Musée Portuaire of Dunkirk (France), Museo del Mare in Genoa (Italy), Finnish Maritime Museum, Suomenlinna Museum (UNESCO site), Sjöfartsmuseum of the Åland Islands.
He published several books about seafaring: “Pilot on Board” which was awarded by Sanremo Libro del Mare prize in 2007 and has written articles for seafaring magazines.
Based in Brittany, his artistic skills have been highly stimulated by the diversity of sceneries surrounding him.
Local architecture and historical old stones have inspired several portfolios with the aim to throw a new light on the secret soul of places.
